Penticton August Long 2010

Well if your planning to go to Penticton which is one of the most popular spots for this long weekend, Cori lived in Penticton for years and I have been travelling there for some time....Luckily we have a couple contacts for the necessities... so  here are a couple tips to keep your weekend a successful one.....

Campsites :

Wrights Beach Campsite is clean and the owners are pretty laid back.  The prices are fair and the site is a fun place.

Happy Hour Campground is the party campground and can get pretty wild. With that being said the last few years there has been a lot of theft and many cases of girls being drugged and in some cases taken advantage of. This doesn't include the dozens of unreported incidents. If you stay here it may be a great time for you but just be aware of what your walking into.

Stay away from South Beach Gardens unless your interested in quiet. The owners are sticklers for noise and will not tolerate rif-raf, loud music, alcohol consumption in public areas and worse they will kick you out without a thought and keep deposits....Let's face it if your reading Boozer Newz you do not want to stay here!!!

If your looking for a hotel...good luck!! However there are a couple places you may wanna try.... A family friend runs the PLAZA Motel 1485 MAIN ST and they are not completely booked yet!! Not the Ritz but it has showers and clean beds so if you would like to try them... The girl who runs the hotel is Shirley and her number is (250) 492-8631.

Fastlanes Delivery Services
If you don't know your bearing, you don't want to drink and drive, or simply don't want to miss out on your  party this family run business will be there for you day or night. The drivers deliver groceries, munchies, cigarettes, takeout and OH Yes our favorite BOOZE!!!

Owner is Cori's Dad, my soon to be Stepdad:
Daryl Richet
Fastlanes Delivery

Events and Attractions

  • Barking Parrot and The Blue Mule are the best bars to visit. They play better music than the Element or Night Moves. Lineups start 9pm and if your past 10pm good luck getting in.
  • Live Music and craft and food fair in GYRO Park
  • Fairgrounds beside the coast hotel with  my favorite ride "The Zipper"
  • Don't forget the Mr.Muscle and Beach Bikini Contest at Skaha Beach. www.jcipenticton.com/missbikinimrmuscle.htm
  • Tiki Shores has some cool info on some things to do as well as, what may be coming up. www.pentictontikishoresresort.com
  • Among para-sailing, the channel, seadoo-ing there is lots to do for the water babies out there.
So our dear boozing friends be merry and drink it in!!! Cheers and we'll be seeing you soon!

First Issue of Boozer Newz started...

Were happy to share that Cori has found a small publisher that will be able to help with printing our quarterly newzletter. So we started our first issue... We decided  our newzletter will be available by season to start off.

Our blog will be for small updates, fun facts, drink recipes and things of that nature.  The blog will be updated every chance we get and will lead up to our quarterly issues.

The newzletter will follow up and coming seasonal events, concerts, pub nights, restaurant reviews, sports notes, unique restaurants and so much more.
Our first issue will start with "Fall Season"!! So watch for our release date.

We'd like to take a brief moment and give a special "Thanks" to those that have supported us this last year; And what the hell, an even bigger "THANKS" to those who didn't as they were the driving force that fueled our persistence.  We have come to realize that a negative push sometimes is only a lead to an open door.

Cheers and Happy reading!!!

Welcome to the Long Awaited Boozer Newz

Welcome,

I've been working on getting this started over 10 years ago. Thanks to my new successful business I cannot think of a better time to incorporate this long awaited adventure.

My soon to be wife and I have been researching, learning and of course sampling recipes, new age drinks and delicious food items that we will share with our visitors.

Check out our website weekly for updates....

Cheers!!
