As you all may have seen in postings earlier in September our "Top Dawg" Dan is involved in many varieties of boozie adventures and we had the opportunity of having him autograph a few of these items we speak of.
My son was lucky enough to have a sweet couple in line ahead of us give us a copy of the booklet available in the two pack Ghostbusters DVD set to have autographed. He was beside himself. When he first saw Ghostbuster he was a spitting image of me, glued to the television and when it was over rewound and watched it over again. So amazing that my son and I can share a favorite movie and were generations apart.
Of course I was a blubbering idiot stammering over my words. I introduced my son as Steve and my Fiance as Brenden and didn't even realize until we were walking away but either way he was kind, funny and even though he probably doesn't have the time to look at the business card I gave him, he took it anyway and excepted with a thank you to boot.
It's not everyday you get to meet your childhood hero and even better one that loves the same libations as me and Steve...Vodka, Wine and Coffee flavored liquer!!!
What an amazing opportunity so I had to share with all of you!!

TORONTO -- Aykroyd investment part of strategy to promote Canadian wines globally
Canadian acting legend Dan Aykroyd has invested $1 million into Niagara Cellars Inc. (NCI), the holding company that owns four of Ontario's top wineries including Lakeview Estates, Birchwood Estates, Thomas & Vaughan and EastDell Estates, as well as Diamond Estates Wines & Spirits, one of Ontario's leading premium wine and spirits distribution and sales agency's, announced Murray Marshall, President of Niagara Cellars and Diamond Estates.
Aykroyd, whose company Alloy Brands, launched Patron Tequila in Canada this summer, wants to play a proactive role in promoting Canadian wines globally.

Niagara Cellars is in the process of raising additional money for further acquisitions. This acquisition strategy builds on the highly successful Vincor International business model, and combines the strength of the fastest growing wine and spirits agency with a family of wineries.
Award-winning wines from the four wineries include Lakeview Cellars' Vidal Ice wine (the second largest selling icewine at the LCBO), EastDell Unoaked Chardonnay (a recent LCBO "Superstar"), Thomas & Vaughan Meritage and the Birchwood Cabernet Sauvignon (Gold Medal, Canadian Wine Association).

It's also an investment in my home province and an opportunity to put more Canadian wines on shelves alongside Australian and Chilean vintages," says Aykroyd, who has the Canadian rights to Patron Tequila, for which Diamond Estates is the agent. Aykroyd, who is co-founding investor in House Of Blues Entertainment Inc., which has 10 nightclubs in North America, is the third largest purveyor of live music on the continent and is planning to expand the network to 20 club venues in the U.S., Canada and Europe over the next 10 years.
In addition to their award winning Canadian wines, Diamond Estates also represents a range of imported wines and spirits including Kendall-Jackson, Giovello Pinot Grigio; Gustave Lorentz, Rodet and Chantovent French as well as Australia vintner Long Flats. The company's spirits line includes Hpnotiq, Patron Tequila, Screech Rum, Dr. McGillicuddy's Schnapps and Liqueurs.
