Lulu Island's First Ever Fall Festival

Lulu Island Winery started off as a small winery just out of the way on 6 Road and, for any of you that know Richmond, this little ditty is located on a highly traveled road. The majority of those travelling are commuters and not looking to stop off for a wine tour.

The winery hosted the China House for the Olympics,
but after that they didn't develop the room much. The last time we went to visit, it was a large empty venue. From what I understand the room was used every so often, but definitely not to its true capability. The room had gorgeous bold colors and was highly under looked. Now of course I am only going by what I've heard from our local resources and what I've witnessed.
This room has some serious potential and I look forward to see them grow.

We receive their newsletters every month or so and they have a great membership program where the member receives a small bonus of 10% off. They also have a line of wines unique to Richmond such as their delicious Blueberry Wine and one of my fav's the Raspberry Wine.

Were also happy to report, they are also celebrating their first GOLD for their Reisling Chardonnay Icewine....

So........ Celebrate The Fall Festival October 29-30 11am-6pm!! I can't think of a better time to check out their digs and have a few swigs!!

Not to shabby for a small winery off the beating track...

  1. Hi Steiny!

Was just looking for images of Lulu Island back in the day, and stumbled across your posting. Thanks so much for showcasing us on your page! And for the great shout out about the Fall Festival, despite the predicted rain we are really looking forward to a great weekend!
Wanted to update you on the venue while I had the chance. We do indeed have big plans for it, we are just waiting on all the proper paperwork to be approved. We hope to soon have a cafe/bistro in there that you can also rent for events... hopefully in time for the new year if all goes well :) And
