Fellow fans!! I was proud to wear my teams colors even though it came with some taunting and grief...but I had fun with it.
Seattle is a great city with some amazing little gems....We found and amazing little hotel called the
"Best Western Pioneer Hotel" We definately recommend.. It's a 5 minute walk from the Field and seconds away from hundreds of bars and tourist attractions.
The rooms are a bit small but kept well and the service was fantastic. The hotel is in an area that can be a bit seedy but inside made up for all of it. The prices were great and it included a continental breakfast in a quaint cafe style room with great choices of fresh baked waffles, eggs, cereals, bagels, muffins and so much more...We give it 4 stars! It loses a star only because the saloon attached is not recommended. Their wasa large dog running around inside the bar and the bartender wasn't very personable!!
Instead we walked less than a block up 1st Ave and found an awesome little bar called J&M's. We had Vodka and Diet's and they poured grey goose as their well booze and the food was fantastic. Steve and I shared a hot meat sandwich called the "Hot Grinder" and a pulled pork called a "Knuckle Sandwich"!! Soooo good! Management came over to say hello and gave us his card. Great service and cheerlful staff even though their home team got smashed!
What a great little get-away!!
